No more way to be expat in Cambodia, no more visa for non-retired and non-worker

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Maybe not a burden but surely an inconvenience.
i know more than a few teachers that need fly from Yangon to Bangkok every 70 days even thou they are legally employed and on 1 year visas.
get to eat some good food and stock up on supplies. :beer3:

Getting out of Cambodia every few weeks/months isn't an inconvenience, it's a delight.

Having to do it at specific times would be the annoyance, and getting a visa extension every other month. Leaving Cambodia every other month is not the issue

and if you're rich enough to retire before age 55, then it is easy enough to obtain a 12 month multi-entry ER (Retirement) EOS...why fuck around with single-entry Tourist Visas or EG (General) EOSs'.

Next time a digital nomad complains about having to travel somewhere every few months to comply with this country's or that country's visa regulations, I am going to hand him or her a dictionary and ask them to look up the word 'nomad'.

The OP is retired, I therefore deduce that he is not a digital nomad. Without knowing him I'd say he is an expat/immigrant

I wouldn't mind frequent trips out, but getting a new passport is hassle with full-page visa stcikers

Does anyone else wonder if the un-rented condos are (like the shoe shops in shopping malls) simply money laundering props?

So, they are clearing the country with a good pressure washer ? Just need to hold on waiting the storm to end ? Without that, who will rent yearly the new brand condominiums which grow everywhere in PP ?

Let's share your thoughts! ;-)
