More problems IN Rattanak House STAY AWAY FROM HERE

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. More problems IN Rattanak House STAY AWAY FROM HERE

Post by backpacker33 »

I came back to my apartment and found that my things had been rifled through.

Apparently, when the staff finds a shortage of items in other apartments, they go to other apartments to make up for the shortfall in the other apartments.

Someone had tried to open my personal safe. Some cutlery was missing.

When I brought this to the attention to the owner he thought it was amusing.

It was only when I told him that I was going to call the police, that the missing items returned.

I have given notice to the owner that I am leaving here of the 1st of February.

I will be happy to go, they will be happy to see me go, until I sue them for my security deposit.

They stole your cutlery? That's weird. Like forks and spoons? Was it stuff they had provided and were then going to charge you for "losing" or was it your personal spatula and whatnot?

Time to move, obviously. I don't think Judge Heng Heng Wapner will order them to pay your security deposit but keep us updated on what happens there.

Dunno why you started a new thread.. you could have just added this to your previous recent one.

Does sound like an odd place tho with staff going in there when you're out to do god knows what..

How do you know they tried to access your safe?

If people go through your things when you are not there, or steal something, even it it is not valuable, it is a concern.

I would move out.

I may also report it on the forum.

It's amazing, it's just what backpacker33 did.

Are you and backpacker33 the same person, or just thinking along the same lines?
