More problems IN Rattanak House STAY AWAY FROM HERE

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

i find it very hard to believe someone entered his apt to steal spoons and forks.
and how would anyone know if they tried to open his safe? Did he dust it and look for fingerprints??
If you have the feeling, or have proof, someone entered your apartment there are loads of ways to check if it happens again. If someone would come into my apartment and after complaining the landlord would provide me with an electronic safe I would be highly suspicious about it and not put anything valuable in it, but I probably would set up some 'traps' to check if someone else would try to get access to it.
Reminds me of an old story about some that would take street girls back to their hotels, ( this is the 80's in Bangkok) and when they went to sleep would put powder around the bed to see if the girl got up and where she went during the night
It’s not hard to see pry marks on a safe.
Not even a really stupid fool would try and pry open a safe in an apt.
So it is no longer OK to make fun of people who have died.

But it is OK to make fun of someone who has had someone go into his apartment when he is not there, and take things.
:please:
someone dying and some one having spoons and forks stolen are not quite the same
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

I stayed in a serviced apartment in Ha Noi where exactly the same thing happened. Cutlery and crockery would disappear just before a new tenant moved into another apartment. I did not care much as I had no need for it.
Did they do it just to complete the set at the other apartment for the new tenant?

Or would they try to charge you for the 'missing' stuff?
No, they did not try to charge me. I think it was more a case of showing full drawers to new tenants.

You’re giving him the impression we care..... best not to tbh.
I was being facetious.

The retainer alone for some snot-nosed Khmer lawyer will cost more than the meager deposit he's looking to recoup...not to mention that he won't win the suit.

Please ignore explorer if he disturbs you to this extent. You're picking on normal posts only because he wrote them. He isn't hurting anybody by agreeing with the thread starter's actions. You are being dickish acting as if everything he says is terrible only because he's made some clumsy posts jumping to conclusions. This is bullying.

Now I will apologise to you fax as well as explorer for commenting in a joke attitude to him or sarcasm but then I would probably be trolling ............

Right the tiring joke that he speaks like Yoda. So funny that it needs to be used even though he didn't.

People say I have weird humour but these jokes go past even me.

I'll try to explain as clearly as I can, how I see it.

Some people on the internet, write the truth and want to discuss things with others.
Sometimes bad people like to make up lies and tease people. It can be very hard to tell if a bad person is lying, for a laugh at one's naivety, or if they are telling the truth.
Often people decide these things by examining what has been said. Sometimes people also look at how it has been said.
Many times people conclude that, for instance, the bad poster is a TROLL.
Trolls are bad people who like to be annoying.
If people think they are being mislead, often they like to "out" the troll by provoking them into "giving themselves away".
Often, this is why good people make bad comments on the internet.
If they didn't, the world might be full of trolls.
I hope you understand.

Sorry, I don't understand.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
