Monsanto, Bayer, and the Push for Corporate Cannabis
Monsanto, Bayer, and the Push for Corporate Cannabis
http://www.maxkeiser.com/2016/07/monsan ... more-80728Powerful corporate interests no doubt had a hand in keeping cannabis off the market. The question now is why they have suddenly gotten on the bandwagon for its legalization. According to an April 2014 article in The Washington Times, the big money behind the recent push for legalization has come, not from a grassroots movement, but from a few very wealthy individuals with links to Big Ag and Big Pharma.

Decades ago it was claimed that Big Tobacco had acquired copyright on such names as Acapulco Gold, Panama Red and so on, presumably in the vague expectation that if and when Mary Jane became legal in the USA, the copyright-holders would have a monopoly of the name.

Let's say that is true. So what? Big Tobacco has always provided a wide variety of products and good qualty control at reasonable prices. The biggest cost of tobbaco products is government, not corporations. If the corps are behind the push for legaliztion, I say more power to them.frank lee bent wrote:mofos smell a monopoly patent

grassroots movements rarely have the r&d clout, finances or skills to produce anything for the mass market.
we need "powerful corporates" to produce what we as the consumer want not some angry conspiracy dope heads.
everything we use in everyday life is made by these monster evil corporates. get over it.

What they don't like is that weed is dead easy to grow yourself.
Apart from that, weed could help save our environment from the plastic disease, by using hemp products instead of petroleum based.

it doesn't bother me because fortunately I'm now in my very senior twilight years and I can look back happily and say I have had a great life and I have definitely seen the best times.
and I definitely don't envy what is facing younger people and particularly those who seem to willingly embrace these giant corporations like Monsanto who in collusion with the UN have Agenda 21 in store for you all
