Missing Taabarang

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Nah, Taabarang is no victim and has always given as good as he gets, and he was (and probably still is )a grumpy old fart, but a lot of posters here are concerned for his welfare even so. We just got used to having him around I guess.

Personally, I'd hate to see CEO full of politically correct socially compliant sunshiny types who have the character and personality of an ashtray. The grizzled expat is an endangered species that must be preserved at all costs.

Or stuffed and put in a museum. :stir: Jk...

And just to be clear, it's not banter we want to cut down on, it's outright unfunny attacks that we don't need here.

I have a great deal of respect for anyone who can remain with a wife for a few decades in a remote area, content with himself and what he's built.

He read my stories. If he liked them, he told me so and then he said why. If he hated one here or there, he told me so and why. I miss my correspondence with LTO, and btw, he could be VERY curmudgeonly, and none too subtle about it.

Just an observation there.

It seems, Taabarang, that some posters don't like you, for your sometimes gnarly personality.
but more importantly, it seems, we do all love you.

Rest easy, battler - then get back into the ring. ' Too many lightweights here these days.

I believe I'm back. Unbelievably I can't seem to remember how to add a new post. More appropriate thanks will be atributed for both the support and help I received.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.
