Re: GM may be offline for a while
In true Islam, it doesn't "pretty much throw off the case," women are inferior to men, especially their brains and memory, so a man's word verse a woman's word are strongly in the favor of the superior man.JohnLeonard wrote:There must be two person to testify for the offense to be fully considered, in this case its her word against his which pretty much throws off the case.General Mackevili wrote: ↑Sat Jun 09, 2018 12:36 pm I could be wrong, but I thought that Sharia Law makes it clear that a woman's testimony is worth only half of a man's, so it takes two forgetful and likely lying women's testimonies to equal one testimony of a man's, so maybe he'll get off, and she'll be stoned for admitting to watching pornographic activities.
Sucks to be him, blows to be her.
However its embarrassing enough for a Saudi guy to go through this.
To have it equal out, you would need one man's account verse 2 women's account. That's because one of the stupid women might forget something and the other woman can help her remember.
A man doesn't need such help.

I really wish I were making this up. I'm always baffled by how people can be against Nazis (and rightly so), etc, but thinks you're a bigot if you strongly oppose Islam.

100% Correct.... you have pretty much summoned up everything.General Mackevili wrote: ↑Sat Jun 09, 2018 1:56 pmIn true Islam, it doesn't "pretty much throw off the case," women are inferior to men, especially their brains and memory, so a man's word verse a woman's word are strongly in the favor of the superior man.JohnLeonard wrote:There must be two person to testify for the offense to be fully considered, in this case its her word against his which pretty much throws off the case.General Mackevili wrote: ↑Sat Jun 09, 2018 12:36 pm I could be wrong, but I thought that Sharia Law makes it clear that a woman's testimony is worth only half of a man's, so it takes two forgetful and likely lying women's testimonies to equal one testimony of a man's, so maybe he'll get off, and she'll be stoned for admitting to watching pornographic activities.

Re: GM may be offline for a while
Do you remember the shitstorm that ensued a couple of years ago when I suggested that Australians needed to choose whether they wanted Australia to remain a Christian country (as it still is deemed to be) or become a Muslim country, because without deliberate action (i.e. census, politics) it would default to a Muslim state in the near future? It actually wasn't an Islamophobic post, but it amazed me at the time how many posters rabidly tried to paint me as an Islamophobe. It wasn't a religious post on my behalf, it was a political comment...General Mackevili wrote: ↑Sat Jun 09, 2018 1:56 pm I really wish I were making this up. I agree with your intention, but as you know, most are not as well-intended as you...I'm a firm believer in separation of church and state. No religious endorsement/validation needed.StroppyChops wrote: ↑Sat Jun 09, 2018 4:46 pmDo you remember the shitstorm that ensued a couple of years ago when I suggested that Australians needed to choose whether they wanted Australia to remain a Christian country (as it still is deemed to be) or become a Muslim country, because without deliberate action (i.e. census, politics) it would default to a Muslim state in the near future? People can believe in the Tooth Fairy, but try and force it on someone else and lock them up.
No state based on religion should exist anywhere..not Judaism, not Christianity, not Islam
Religion is a personal choice, not bound or determined by borders
People should fit in with the community they are entering, but that doesn't mean they should be discriminated against because they are different, nor doe sit mean they can dictate that the community should change
Choice of religion/non-religion has to be respected

I think you hit the nail on the head - Gonk can make such a comment as a well-loved party animal, but if I express the same point as a person of faith, KABOOM!that genius wrote: ↑Sat Jun 09, 2018 5:20 pmI agree with your intention, but as you know, most are not as well-intended as you...I'm a firm believer in separation of church and state. You are a bigot if you oppose Islam. Or Christianity. Or Judaism. Or Buddhism or whatever.General Mackevili wrote: ↑Sat Jun 09, 2018 1:56 pmI really wish I were making this up. Any idiot understands that all religions have at some stage been hijacked for political purposes. In addition, several countries, the US in particular, have manufactured phobias to suit their political objectives. Unfortunately, the MSM, which is predominantly owned by non-targeted groups, tends to follow the phobia-mongers, whilst completely ignoring what the west has done to earn such antipathy.
You are not a bigot if you oppose practices within those religions which you find discriminatory.
I have read the OT, the NT, The Koran and the Torah...only the NT has any meaning for me, the rest are meaningless drivel, boring, fundamentalist, and designed to control rather than improve lives.
You should Google similarities between Judaism and Islam, you might be surprised.
Christianity is generally more liberating, but it depends on which brand of Christianity. Historically, the Catholics have been a real piece of work, and some other sects have had their day, too.
It's an interesting field of study. I think andyinasia was quite clued up about this, he studied comparative religions...but even his totally academic points received scathing remarks from his so-called friends on TOF.
Islamic fundamentalism sucks
Zionism sucks
Christian fundamentalism sucks
It's a private matter, like your sex life, a relationship between Dog/God and you. keep it that way if you want any respect, and show your belief by practice, not by mouthing off or posting hatred.
Criticise individuals who distort it by all means..but let's be hones..the 'Christian' west has a pretty shitty record of loving their neighbours, they have zero room to talk.
Rant over.

5% OF MEN HAVE HAD SEX WITH A VACUUM CLEANER
Some people believe that sexbots are the future. However that leaves us with the question “What are men using right now?”. In a recent survey, I discovered that 5% of men have had sex with a vacuum cleaner – meaning that they’re more popular than high end sex dolls which only 2% of men have used.
