If the speculation above is correct, sounds like they may have popped some pills and drunk alcohol... which you really shouldn't do as there are plenty of drugs that are contraindicated with alcohol and can cause you to stop breathing. And if they just died in their beds as per the pics in the link then I'd say that is quite possibly what what happened. How awful.
