Man Pulls Out Gun and Goes Hunting in a Village at Midday
Re: Man Pulls Out Gun and Goes Hunting in a Village at Midday
Because you hand over your personal rights so easily to other people who dun give a shit about you.SternAAlbifrons wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 2:25 pm "Anyway - this is besides the point of the guy peacefully hunting birds with a rifle designed to do that job, but under somewhat poor conditions - i.e in public "
Hey Mish. ^^ You know i hate disagreeing with you. Why do you make me do it so often? :
"peacefully hunting bird" - No, he quite obviously disturbed public order and caused concern.
"designed to do that job" - No, specifically outlawed from doing that job for very good reasons.
- quite seriously, there would be very few birds or wild animals left in the country if there was open ownership of hunting rifles.

I take it you are armed like this guy when you go outside to dangerous places like streets and restaurants?Mishmash wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 12:32 amAs usual - do I take it you were unarmed and extortedJohn Bingham wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 3:35 pmWhat government are you talking about? Damascus? Washington? I'm guessing you weren't here in the 90s before the small arms reduction programs, because banditry and gun/ grenade attacks were rife then. That's why only senior police/ army are allowed to carry weapons outside of work, some were using them to terrorise, extort and rob the population at night.
Looking so tough with that big gun.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

I don't see any connection at all. A random picture. I go out with the reasonable expectation that if any bad guy shoots they will meet lead going their way.John Bingham wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 12:56 amI take it you are armed like this guy when you go outside to dangerous places like streets and restaurants?Mishmash wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 12:32 amAs usual - do I take it you were unarmed and extortedJohn Bingham wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 3:35 pmWhat government are you talking about? I HAVE have been kidnapped, extorted, guns against my head and worse so now I realise the world is not Plato's utopia.
Have you?
Maybe Stockholm syndrome is your way out of it. Or perhaps no bad guys have weapons. Perhaps you are the bad guy and can't be trusted. Crikey bloke, don't you realize sometimes the GOOD guys have weapons. It's not a one way street. If you personally dun wish to be armed is ok by me JB.

If you want to know what i really think - and every other true bushie i know - people who think they need guns for protection and to "hold their person rights" are fucking pathetic.
And i can assure you brother, that i have lived, worked and visited some pretty "interesting" places and situations all my lifetime.

My forks are kept safely locked in a box at home - just in case I get the urge to be a bad guy.
