Man in Lexus RX330 Hits Journalist Then Gets Attacked by Mob

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

You should try some logic/stop listening to schmucks who try and deflect criticism by labelling people. Because he owns a car? You idiot. Really in unpleasant mode this morning, aren't we?
Are you insinuating I'm listening to Gavinmac, Scobienz, AIA and your various other "enemies"? No, I think years of posting made me come to that "car" conclusion. Why does he "deserve" it, because he has an accident and crashed his car? Why should he get his car keyed, because he got in an accident? It seems to me like you're the one lacking logic here.
vladimir wrote:As far as I know, nobody was 'lying in agony with 'a broken arm and clavicle'. Where did you read that? So a guy, possibly drunk, prangs his car, he's not injured, and he's incensed because people take pictures? That's what people do.

But, lesson learned on hot tempers, I'll follow your example next time and just punch them. Sounds reasonable.

Seriously, this does not sound like you. wtf is going on?
Exactly, he was possibly drunk. There's no mention as to how or why the accident happened. The journos do play a role here, and I appreciate their work at times (even in similar circumstances). However, I'm pretty sure I've heard you calling them animals before when they take pictures of accident victims and so on. The point is that I personally don't like having someone snapping pictures of me, and would probably flip if people did it while I was having a "bad day". I'd be willing to bet $50 you'd be the first to throw a tantrum if a photographer started getting up close and took pictures of you after you'd crashed your bike, hurt yourself, hurt someone else etc. Rightly or wrongly, it's pretty invasive and I know I wouldn't be the only one annoyed by the behaviour (that guy obviously was).

His night obviously changed when he saw a westerner driving the tuktuk. Instead of moving I locked it up and sounded the (truck) horn continuously while pointing at him. He blushed and immediately hid behind his phone. Coincidentally I then happened to be alongside him at the next three set of lights. Man, that phone was fascinating.

Doesn't hurt at all - not usually concerned about physical violence but am wary of guns when it comes to standing my ground in the traffic.
