Making Money Online.
Seems optimal if you want to live abroad.
How do you (or would you) make money online?
Alternately. How do you earn your living while living abroad?
Any ideas or platforms to share?
The hardest thing I see about living here is that its hard to make a decent income, and as I age, I think that legit jobs are vaporizing too, because of age discrimination. (seems like it)
Unless you are self funded, financially independent/trust fund, or pensioned/retired, it is the biggest challenge.
It also doesn't seem as cheap of a place to live as when I first researched it, (and changing rapidly) if you want any kind of western standard, I can live almost as cheaply at 'home' It seems.

I think in many respects I see a lot of baseline ideas in you that I might agree with. (but I havent seen your manifesto to know for sure) It seems that your delivery and diplomacy might be what gets you in trouble. Anyhow, to quote the great NJH, I digress.Pisshead wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 7:07 amMost prefer to slum it rather than go back to the feminazi west.RickyBobby wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 6:54 amSeems optimal if you want to live abroad. I am not hating on you, because I find contrarian thought to be intriguing. Its awfully boring to just move in step with the sheeple. Try to be less abrasive and a bit more concise when you put it together; I wouldn't mind hearing more of how you think.
I am of an open mind, lets have some civil discourse.
Who do you follow in social media? Where do you get your ideas? Mind telling me/us?
Also, how old are you BKKT? Have you ever had a long term relationship, anything legit? Any kids?
I do agree that feminism killed the western world. It definitely shut up my generation of men, and made a lot of MGTOW's out of us. It ensured the migration of men who enjoy caught yellow fever. I do not disagree.

Re: Making Money Online.
That's the million dollar question, and it's also why you won't get any sensible (free) advise on this online. Everybody working online has found his or her own niche and because the online market is extremely competitive people are not willing to share much (for free). Scared copycats will undercut them.
But I can give you some general advise, for free:
- Look into something that has your interest. You won't make much money in the beginning, but you will have to spend time and (some) money to start it all up. Doing something in a field you already have some interest in will help.
- Set up a simple, cheap online structure to start with. Think website, mailservices, etc etc. Forget about Cambodia for this, get reliable services elsewhere. Make sure you have some reliable hardware in Cambodia to work with.
- Think about safety and reliability from day one. If you succeed, you will need it anyway, and changing it all afterwards will be a pain in the ass.
- Start small. Don't invest thousands. Most startups will fail at a loss.
- Be careful sharing your ideas, both in real life and online. There are loads of people trying to achieve what you want to achieve, and they will copy your idea in a split second if they can.
Re: Making Money Online.
Id be also interested in any idea's to make money while in Cambodia even if just for something to do
Agree nearly as cheap living in Australia if you are eating and drinking at home it's when you go out socialising you realise how cheap Cambodia is

An addition: think about a structure to make and receive payments. Receiving online payments form customers in Cambodia [edit after reply from Phuketrichard] is extremely difficult, receiving it in your home country is relatively easy when it's still a small amount, but it will get more difficult if the amounts get larger. Once you will have larger sums coming in every year (for PayPal the limit used to be 10k) you will need to comply to all kinds of laws (money laundering) to be able to receive that kind of money, also through online channels like PayPal. So it might be worth setting up an official business at some stage.

Re: Making Money Online.
I work online. I worked as a graphic designer for a long time and have gone back to that to live abroad — I'm a "digital nomad," although that term makes me cringe a bit. It's a succinct description, though.
I was very burned out on doing design work and spent several years looking at and pursuing a career shift. I work very part-time now. Because my clients are all in the US and it's fairly corporate work, it pays decently and I can tolerate it.
It also helps that I really just have two main clients and I like both of them (well, one I like a lot, one is okay enough) — having insufferable bosses and clients was the main source of burnout, that and never having any objective way of knowing if you did a good job and were done so you just ended up with files named FINAL_FINAL_V11_rev8.pdf and hoped one day it would end.
It's a job that I think looks "fun" from the outside, and it's hard to argue with that when there's people in the world who shovel shit or what have you. But I think it's kind of everything bad you can do for your brain, day in and day out, gazing into a rectangle, all wrapped up into one seemingly fine career that nobody wants to hear you moan about.
Aside from me moaning about my very fortunate situation, maybe what's relevant to anyone reading this: freelancer.com can give you an idea of what sorts of jobs are doable online. If you're a native English speaker, there's a strong chance you shouldn't sign up for that site because the rates are very low, but it might give you a good project or two early on when you're just breaking into a field you want to pursue.

if u receive money in your home country, than just send a wire over to your Cambodian bank once a month
whats the big deal??
or use atm's
Plenty of other platforms as well to get money over to Cambodia,
https://transferwise.com is used by many in Thailand to receive overseas payments)not sure if they transfer to Cambodia
Xoom
Webmoney
Making money online is harder an harder. I still know a few that makes $5,000++/month using affiliate programs and writing blogs.
One guy i know buys watches online and cleans them up and resells on Ebay.
another has a deal with US TSA and buys goods that people need leave before they board planes ( lost of Swiss knives) an sells on ebay
If ur profession is something that can handled online ( like the above poster) drum up some clients, that would be happy to pay you less than keeping someone in house to do the same job.
You need be creative. Long gone are the days i was making $8,0000++ /month

Re: Making Money Online.
On the lower end of the scale, it seems that ppl can even earn more doing online English teaching than in classrooms in Cambodia. Is it true?
Crazy world that it should be so difficult to find reward for sincere effort these days.
I guess the model of working in the west half a year and coasting in SEA the other half is not a bad one. I also want that, but cannot (at this time at least) take my lady there for half a year at a time.
