Major fracas going on at Streets 118 & 13

Post by timmydownawell »

A bunch of fire engines tore down St 118 a short time ago and something's going down at the corner of St 15, lots of sirens, whistles and no fewer than seven fire engines now. Anyone down there?

I think it might be in the First Cambodia Bank building.

Edit: yes there is smoke coming from the top two floors' windows (E3/E4)

Dunno why they needed he ladder truck, couldn't they bust their way in and go up the stairs?

Might have been an electrical fire, looks like no power above E2 and the neon sign on the roof is not working.

I especially love that the firies put on their sirens when leaving the scene of a fire, because there's an urgent need for... beer? donuts? ???

It's ridiculous, saw 5 or 6 trucks just now on Norodom Blvd., apparently coming back from that fire. All had their sirens on.
I suppose it's something like "When you're driving a fire truck, sirens must be on at all time!"

Very often bad wiring ... Overloads ...

Spiky electrical grid ... Cheap and old-school.
Melvin Udall: Never, never, interrupt me, okay?

Not if there's a fire, not even if you hear the sound of a thud from my home and one week later there's a smell coming from there that can only be a decaying human body and you have to hold a hanky to your face because the stench is so thick that you think you're going to faint.

Even then, don't come knocking...Not for ANY reason.
