Lunar Eclipse

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Lunar Eclipse

Post by ali baba »

There will be a Lunar Eclipse at 5.55PM on 8th October. It will occur in the East so Koh Pich or Chroy Changva would be good vantage points.

You forgot one important thing: there is no lunar eclipse in Saudi Arabia
Und der Haifisch der hat Tränen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht

In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

Terrible weather for it. I was in Cornwall for the solar eclipse in 1999. It was overcast there too.

I was in Falmouth (iirc) for it. SLR, big mirror lens, solar filter, tripod etc. 100% cloud cover, rain and food poisoning from dodgy mushrooms the night before. What a great day out! My first and last eclipse chasing experience.
