I am looking for this man

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Haha, that's the spirit! Image Image Image

Again, glad to hear you guys have worked it out.

I'm still pissed there wasn't a yes or no answer, just a long winded story and rehashing. I guess you like it on that hamster wheel.

Yeah, I took that as a sign I was right about what I thought he said he did, and he didn't feel like admitting it.

Fair enough. I also know how it feels when you realize someone's been scamming you, so I feel like cutting him some slack, knowing that it does sound like he started out trying to help a guy out when he didn't have to, and when he came to the conclusion that he'd been deceived he was furious and said, "fuck you, you owe me everything! ! ! "

So whatever. I still think it's fucked up to later charge someone for something after they've used it when you earlier said was free, no matter the circumstances, and I have a feeling he would normally agree, but is just livid about the fucker deceiving him.

Seriously, how hard would it be to clarify?

I've heard there's no such thing as bad publicity, but I think advertising that you threaten customers with physical violence if they don't pay charges you retroactively add to their bill qualifies.

In America the legal term for what he did is called "Defrauding An Innkeeper." (some states title it differently)

Sounds about right - it's along with the codas on the need to walk in front of a horseless carriage bearing a red lamp, unless I'm mistaken.

It's not defrauding an innkeeper if the innkeeper offers you the room for free and then regrets it.
