Haha, that's the spirit!rubberbaron wrote:From now on though, I guess it's more of a banter than a real discussion or debate. I can appreciate this. Let's keep this way, shan't we? Did somebody write this board is better than Khmer440 because you got all the old-timers? At first glance, it doesn't really look like it.
Again, glad to hear you guys have worked it out.

I'm still pissed there wasn't a yes or no answer, just a long winded story and rehashing. I guess you like it on that hamster wheel.

Yeah, I took that as a sign I was right about what I thought he said he did, and he didn't feel like admitting it.thePeck wrote:I'm still pissed there wasn't a yes or no answer, just a long winded story and rehashing. I guess you like it on that hamster wheel.
Fair enough. I also know how it feels when you realize someone's been scamming you, so I feel like cutting him some slack, knowing that it does sound like he started out trying to help a guy out when he didn't have to, and when he came to the conclusion that he'd been deceived he was furious and said, "fuck you, you owe me everything! ! ! "
So whatever. I still think it's fucked up to later charge someone for something after they've used it when you earlier said was free, no matter the circumstances, and I have a feeling he would normally agree, but is just livid about the fucker deceiving him.

Seriously, how hard would it be to clarify?thePeck wrote:I'm still pissed there wasn't a yes or no answer, just a long winded story and rehashing. I guess you like it on that hamster wheel.
I've heard there's no such thing as bad publicity, but I think advertising that you threaten customers with physical violence if they don't pay charges you retroactively add to their bill qualifies.

In America the legal term for what he did is called "Defrauding An Innkeeper." (some states title it differently)

Sounds about right - it's along with the codas on the need to walk in front of a horseless carriage bearing a red lamp, unless I'm mistaken.Sailorman wrote:In America the legal term for what he did is called "Defrauding An Innkeeper." (some states title it differently)

It's not defrauding an innkeeper if the innkeeper offers you the room for free and then regrets it.
