Ever heard of false pretense, or deceptive practices, swindling for monetary gain? That's what grifters do. Somebody uses that the whole basis is void - even promises. You guys must only skim things - you gotta read them thoroughly, maybe slowly. No offense here. Seems like nobody is a businessman here.General Mackevili wrote:Cool. Again, I personally think it's a bit fucked up to tell someone a room is free, then after they've stayed charge them for those nights (which is what it still sounds like you've done).rubberbaron wrote:My thoughts exactly, as a final, final post. Anyways, glad you guys worked it out.
P.S. Don't let him pay by check.

Well, we originally thought we'd let you post this for free, but now that you're getting your money, we've decided we are going to charge you.
And since it's high season, I think $200 is more than fair.
After you pay the $200 we'll decide if we think you owe us more.
Thanks.

Again, I just have a problem with you saying it was free, then later changing your mind (for whatever reason) and saying he owes you for those previously free nights.rubberbaron wrote:Ever heard of false pretense, or deceptive practices, swindling for monetary gain? At this point I have zero doubt you have in fact been been "running a business in Cambodia for 25+ years."

Fair is fair. Time to name and shame this robberbaron, and post his photo here. Then hire some rent-a-cop goons to make him sign papers promising to pay CEO.General Mackevili wrote:Free?rubberbaron wrote:How's that for advertising? Re: I am looking for this man
Macki, if you look like your avatar in real life I would understand why you don't get the point here. Read the quote. But maybe all these guys questioning my actions don't know anything about business law or law in general. From now on though, I guess it's more of a banter than a real discussion or debate. I can appreciate this. Let's keep this way, shan't we? Did somebody write this board is better than Khmer440 because you got all the old-timers? At first glance, it doesn't really look like it.General Mackevili wrote:Again, I just have a problem with you saying it was free, then later changing your mind (for whatever reason) and saying he owes you for those previously free nights.rubberbaron wrote:Ever heard of false pretense, or deceptive practices, swindling for monetary gain?
