I am about at my breaking point with Phnom Penh traffic. Pchum Ben holiday couldn't come soon enough.

I am honestly ready to snap on one of these cocksuckers... which would be very stupid of me to do. I had to do a full rear brake lock up in the rain the other day because some fuck-twat in his Toyota SUV wanted to make his left turn.

I honestly think the fucking people driving on the wrong side of the road is the #1 issue for driver retardation here in Cambodia. When I go to make a right hand turn, you shouldn't be coming at me in my lane. Next week I am thinking of taking my $400 POS moto out and just playing a light, under 15km/h game of "Whose Plastic Will Break?" with the first freshy fuck riding a Dream I see.
I hear your pain. I am on the verge of losing it too.

Two thought come to mind. Thermite and Hi-Powered Laser pointers.

If a Lexus driver abused their privilege driving, perhaps a portable device could disable their car ... forever.

I've read how scary it is for airplane pilots to be blinded ... hmmm.

And everybody's worried about Ebola. This "whale eczema" scares the living shit outta me ! It can even leap the boundary between animate and inanimate objects - at least Toyotas anyway.

Until the cops start doing the job they signed on for (not the bribes) there will be death and destruction on the roads. The low level street police need to be paid a decent salary as in take some of the money the higher ups put in their pockets and give it to the street cops. Oversight on the cops to see if they actually do their job. In Snooky we have cops with bikes (with lights) and some pickup trucks with lights. I've never seen them pull anyone over. Post cops at the big bend on Ekareach and nail the SOBs going the wrong way as a short cut. (Oh how the money would roll in.)

I was setting at a red light the other day(alone as usual) and a pickup truck had to go around me to run the red light. The pickup truck was a brand new "Tourist Police" truck" with that in big letters on the side and a light bar. So much for setting a good example. People see the police breaking the law, why would they want to abide by the law?

Gee how many vehicles here suffer skin diseases? "Camry black whale eczema" sounds fishy to me. Maybe its the cause of so many motor accidents

"The police said that the seriously injured victim was sent to Calmette Hospital, but they would not reveal the names of the two suspects in custody nor whether they had been drinking." From PPP

Also from today's PPP "Thermal body scanners which detect high fevers – one of the symptoms of Ebola – have been installed since August in Cambodia’s two international airports in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, and at the two main land crossings in Bavet and Poipet." More jive hustle

"The six politically connected plantation firms – Best Royal (K) Co, Ltd; Huot Meng Vita Co, Ltd; Nature Plantation (KH) Co, Ltd; Sok Samnang Development; Tay Ninh Siem Reap Aphivath Caoutchouch Co, Ltd; and Tumring Rubber Co – were issued 65,065 hectares of concessions in 2011 and 2012 in the Kulen Prom-Tep Wildlife Sanctuary and contracted to provide timber to the authorities." They got the wood the people got the shaft.

"Cambodia’s judiciary scored a “very weak” 16 points in the assessment, which described the courts – excluding military courts and the Khmer Rouge tribunal – as being beset by “political interference, understaffing, inadequate training of staff, limited financial resources, and the absence of key laws”.

The judicial branch’s tiny budget, just 0.42 per cent of the national budget in 2013, demonstrates “a low commitment to the rule of law” and “results in high levels of corruption and inefficiency”, the NISA continues." Also today's PPP

How about this? " Police Chief Buys Way Out of Murder Case"

A commune police chief in Takeo province who went on the run after being named the primary suspect in the murder of a karaoke-parlor worker in March has returned home and is no longer wanted by the court, having paid off the victim’s family, according to relatives and local authorities.

San Yin, 29, was fatally shot at her rented home in Kiri Vong district’s Kiri Chung Koh commune on the night of March 21. Police immediately suspected Sin Pov, then the commune police chief, who was seen arguing with the victim in her house just before a gunshot was heard at about 8:30 p.m.

The murder weapon was a police-issued K54 pistol.

The commune’s new police chief, Khun Vuthy, said Mr. Pov was enjoying himself back at home late last month, and even dropped by his old office for a chat.

“When he arrived back at home, he came to the commune police office to visit us. We did not arrest him because the case was over,” Mr. Vuthy said.

“He went around the commune drinking beer, eating and enjoying himself without fear,” he said. The commune’s new police chief, Khun Vuthy, said Mr. Pov was enjoying himself back at home late last month, and even dropped by his old office for a chat.

Now I know most, if not all of you, read the papers. I really want to puke when some foreigner writes about how "things are getting better." This is a country with no future.
