US Lawsuit re Cambodians enslaved in Thai Fishing

Post by Otis »

A lawsuit was just filed in the US by major law firms on behalf of several Cambodians tricked, basically, into slavery in the Thai shrimp industry. Certainly not an unknown fate.

I know a family whose daughter had a similar misadventure with a labor contract in Malaysia. Anyone know any other people or families with a similar bad expedience with being recruited for work in Thai fishing?
