Ladyboy

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. whatever the gender, i have come to the conclusion that those who make their living like this do it for 2 reasons:
1- they are lazy intellectually
2- they enjoy the life

i know many cambodians who make upwards of $50/day by other means.
even some of the bracelet and fruit selling kids can easily make that kind of money.

prostitutes often make much less than that

I think they do it because

1. They can
2. They have feminine characterisics, and many men thesedays do.
3. They enjoy womens clothes and makeup
4. They enjoy confusing straight men
5. They can make good money.
6. They enjoy the sex.

I was reading sticks coloumn recently and he was saying that Nana complex in BANGKOK, is now mostly Ladyboys. There were loads in Pattaya when i was last there...And theres a few in Cambodia/Laos.

^^^Last night, I was on soi 7 in Pattaya for an evening for the first time in 3+ years. The "girls" looked much taller than I remember. It's not the soi 7 I recall from years when I chased skirts. Am now retired from the night life, just in time, it seems.

I'm pretty sure that's a ladyboy soi. (There is one next to soi 6 full of ladyboys, according to some sleazebag u tuber). I was in Pattaya a few years back, even soi Buakhao had ladyboy bars (now gone apparently).

My feeling on Pattaya now are that it's too busy and noisy now. Above all, i think with the strong baht and high girl costs, it has priced itself out for many. As it has become more 'family friendly', It has become less seedy and more 'mainstreamed', and i would instead rather just use it to drink and chat with expats, enjoying the shopping mall food, and female sights( without indulging)...
