Just use the Search function (top right corner). Koh Wrong seems to be notorious.

I did use the Search fucntion yesterday, & nothing came up, which is why I asked. I also asked a similar query late last year on a thread, & again, nothing

I am only concerned with assaults on Westerners, not interested in druggies overdosing. There seems to be a lot of talk about it being dangerous, but not much actual evidence, apart from the terrible recent attack.

I specifically included "suspicious deaths" when talking about reports out of Koh Rong. If you want to dismiss multiple other reported possibly suspicious deaths as those of "druggies overdosing" and therefore they don't warrant mention, then that's your prerogative. Murders are often dismissed/disguised as drug induced deaths or suicides to deflect bad press which would cause a drop in tourism. But here is one murder of a Western woman.
US woman murdered, police say

Preah Sihanouk provincial police have concluded that an American tourist found dead on the holiday island of Koh Rong in early October was murdered, local authorities said yesterday.

Kol Phally, the provincial deputy police chief, told the Post that an investigation had found the woman had been murdered and a suspect identified.

No motive or further details could be given while the suspect remained at large, he added.

“Police put a lot of effort into investigating this death and have concluded she was murdered,” he said.

Katherine Ann Grgich, a 55-year-old Californian, disappeared on September 28.

On September 30, her body was found in a forest three kilometres away from the guesthouse where she was staying with injuries to the back and front of her head, Sarath Vichea, provincial technical police head, said.

Police, who examined the body alongside US embassy officials, initially believed she may have slipped and hit her head on a rock, he added.

There are several other deaths reported on the island over the last few years that some people feel are suspicious. Just because someone is found dead with pills on him doesn't necessarily mean an overdose or suicide...but that is usually the immediate conclusion of the authorities.

The 4 suspects are denying the charges:

Four Cambodian men were charged by the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Court on Tuesday over the brutal beating and robbery of two expatriates on the holiday island of Koh Rong last week, a court official said.

“The court charged them with theft with aggravating circumstances based on articles 353 and 357 of the Criminal Code,” said Ros Saram, deputy prosecutor at the court. The maximum penalty for the crime is 10-years incarceration.

The four suspects—Vann Sihavorn, 22; Chup Tith, 27; Khuon Hun, 24; and Choem Ratana, 27—allegedly stormed the Broken Heart guesthouse on Koh Rong late Thursday night, attacking its owner, Finnish national Jouni Niemi, 49, and cashier, British national Michael Hay, 27, with bricks and steel bars as they moved money to an onsite safe. According to police, the assailants stole $3,000 cash, a laptop and other electronics.

Per the newspaper link on the post I commented on, it stated the 2 victim only positively identified 1 of the suspects, who was a former employee. Lets hope there is much more evidence, which results in the 4 being convicted
