I know what I will do but would you do the same?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I was in the 300 shop the other day and I saw they'd accidently put a small bag of washing soap in with my stuff. There was two of them on the till. I wasn't going to say anything but they did eventually spot it. I suppose it depends on the value of it for me. They don't accept returns on things. I keep an eagle eye on the till as they swipe the stuff and count the change myself as they are collecting it up.

LTO wrote:Actually, the whole reward and tip thing wasn't really well thought out. When he gave me the $50, I immediately thought 'this guy deserves a reward' and handed him $10. Then while taking the tuktuk ride I began to worry that I hadn't given him enough, hence the second $10. As I have used him several times, and the price of where I go is fairly well established, I think he understood the second $10. But even after that I wasn't sure if I'd given too much or too little. As for giving his phone number to others, that's a good idea. Unfortunately, this guy speaks zero English, so he's not the ideal candidate for that.
Again I wasn't making any criticism of how you handled it. I wasn't there and a lot of what was said would depend if a person actually lives in the area, the time of day, was it raining etc etc you get the idea. He ended up with$20 for an average ride I am sure he is happy with that.

Understood. Didn't mean to imply you were. Just filing it out a little more.
