Maybe that happy pizza before visiting the temples wasn't a good idea ?
Joking aside - she flipped out seriously for whatever reason:
http://www.stuff.co.nz/travel/travel-tr ... dha-statue
"I was hiding in the jungle until I didn't hear them searching for me anymore and I got the message that I could go back in the temple.
"So I returned to the inner sanctuary and I had to meditate.
"There were kind of pipes that went up into the open air which let light in and shined on the [Buddha] statue.
"I was told I had to move the Buddha but I said I didn't want to as it's such a great religion and nothing to make fun of.
"So I tried to sit on his lap but that didn't work so I pushed him out, and I was apologising to him, but that must have been when I broke it."
Think that goes in the really bad trip category.

Not so bad, she should get one of those lovely white coats with the long sleeves out of it... meets all the cultural requirements for visiting temples, as long as her knees are covered.
Bodge: This ain't Kansas, and the neighbours ate Toto!

I'm glad to hear shes not a Kiwi after all, but the damage has already been done since all media reports are referring to her as a NZ'er/Kiwi
However, although she was a permanent resident of New Zealand, she was not a citizen, and was therefore "referred to her own embassy".

Lol, she must have been high on those, she ate the one in the picture.Joker Poker wrote:Too many Stroopwafles methinks.ralphamsterdam wrote:It was just on the dutch television news. She is dutch and she destroyed it because she hear an inner voice telling her to do it. Nothing further what happened to her.
For those that read Dutch: http://www.nu.nl/opmerkelijk/3902655/ne ... bodja.html
'De vrouw, die op dit moment in Nieuw-Zeeland woont, geeft toe dat ze het beeld heeft vernield. ''Ik was mezelf niet", zegt ze tegenover de NOS. ''Een stem vertelde mij om de tempel op te ruimen, omdat het de tempel was van de godin Innana en niet van Boeddha." Volgens de stem moest ze op de plek van het beeld gaan mediteren.'
'The woman, currently residing in NZ, admits destroying the statue. 'I wasn't myself' she told the NOS (tv-station)' An inner voice told me to clean up the temple, because the temple was Innana's and not Buddha's. The voice also told her to meditate on the spot where the statue was'

LOL! Mrs Stroppy brought some Stroopwaffles (sp?) home from Holland with her, Dr. Jaap, not sure how many are left.Jaap N. wrote:Dr. Jaap's diagnosis: totally bonkers!

The correct spelling is: stroopwafels. The 's' is for plural. I wouldn't have any left if I were her!

They are pretty yummy, the Dutch folk I knew would sit them on top of their hot cup of coffee briefly to soften them up, I like them straight out of the pack.
Wouldn't mind some Oliebollen while we're at it.
