Posted the wife's translation on here... it's not fantastic (and I cleaned it up a little to make it more readable, as i understand her english and it's mistakes) but it does illustrate this passing of the buck pretty well, as well as how things went down... this chick hid and did the shit on purpose from the sound of it.

New Zealand tourist was reportedly detained in Cambodia after knocking over a Buddha statue at a temple.

Cambodian media said the woman went to the popular tourist attraction of Angkor Wat on Saturday and was found in the Bayon Temple, built in the 12th century, next to a statue smashed into four pieces.

She was held for questioning by the Apsara Authority, which helps protect the Unesco World Heritage site, but was later released and was believed to have travelled on to Thailand.

The statue was not believed to be an original and was probably a decorative piece, the reports said.

Angkor Wat is one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia, according to Unesco.

It stretches over 400 square kilometres, including forested areas, and contains the remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th century to the 15th century.

It also holds a number of famous temples, including the one in which the New Zealand woman reportedly.....
