Thank you for the concern, I m sorted out now, I have seriously ran into like 3 or 4 lovely looking still now 30 plus years old girls who for whatever reason don't show the skin problems and the like. In the West all the users seem to develop horrible skin problems on their face and everywhere. Here its different shit or something, anyway point well taken on sorting me out first.

bossho wrote: Mon Nov 25, 2019 6:02 pm The point being is that for all his sins and problems and past he seems like a decent good hearted fellow in need of methadone which is available here now, also, he was targeted at the airport most likely got into a special tuk tuk that took that famous "wrong turn" down the alley and was immediately jumped by two thieves and miraculously he was saved by another thief who appeared on the scene to "help" then this poor Kiwi, his name is Paul btw got his money sent in and it was stolen from him while he slept by the infamous "friend" that appeared on the scene to help at the first robbery. The infamous friend that helped him out is now off the streets as of this writing and with his record, will likely be deported. If you come into KOW weak and expect to survive with your dole from your country its not likely you will make it, unfortunately for Paul he never had an ounce of luck since his arrival. He was prey for the wicked and the wicked are numerous and hungry for prey. I cannot help him anymore.
Are you saying he was a druggie with little money who came to Cambodia only to be 'targeted' by bad tuk tuk guys at the airport and subsequently robbed? Are you saying there was no connection between him being a druggie and getting targeted? Is that what you mean when you he say he didn't have an ounce of luck since his arrival coz he was preyed on by the wicked?
I am saying I know a bit more than I am willing to share here about his story. I've changed my stance on this sort of stuff and I ve been away from this type of human in another country and its hard to relate to this place now cuz I thought I was smart now I think I have a bit to learn. This specific situation is all too coincidental with him getting into a special tuk tuk and then miraculously getting robbed in a dark alley and a wrong turn and then another local con shows up out of nowhere to "save him" there is more to this story. At the end of the day the guy needs to get of Dodge City he's a clueless junkie with a rough past. All that happened to him here could have been because he was likely looking for dope as soon as he hit the pavement and asked the tuk tuk driver and then who knows ? Maybe they got the dope and then he got followed and robbed from there on he gets hit again. You are right its not bad luck or the wicked its Darwin
s law.

thank you
Good on you for realizing it. I've seen too many of these types I just assume they are all liars. Sucks if there are any that actually tell the truth that many won't believe them.

Sometimes it's entertaining having them try the lines on you, although I would imagine having someone like Scammer Steve trying it out is a bit different than a heroin junkie.

Stevie was tugging on the heartstrings of my Cambodian in-laws until I walked up and ruined it for him.
Yes, my natural good judgement has recently slipped and been replaced by heartstrings ready to pluck, don't know what s gotten into me.

I can spot that shit a mile off, I wouldn't go anywhere near it and I'd steer well clear of anyone who does. It doesn't matter how pretty they are - they might have just started taking it. It's the destructive impulses that are far more important.

Stevie is okay though. He'd never asked me for so much as a bean until last time I met him and I'd sat down with him many times. I knew he was a scamming guy with his crazy stories about coming on a bus from Laos and getting gassed and robbed and just needing enough money to get to whatever church. He never told me them though, as he knew I wouldn't buy that shite. He did ask me for a couple of bucks last time I met him though. So I gave him $10 and said I expected a few beers off him sometime in the future. The guy has been in and out of institutions in the US and been jailed here at least twice. He's actually okay in a very sketchy way.

I felt the same way about a few folks who have been in trouble and discussed here on this board recently, I think my better judgement has been overwhelmed by a sudden fascination with these foreigners who just dont want to play by the rules and end up in trouble but they are mostly interesting types.

FFS - Wow. Finally...
Somebody with a bit of nous who knows how to relate to people with these kind if "issues".

If you can talk to a scammer frequently, and have him not try to scam you, that says a lot to me.
ie, that you have such obvious integrity, and inner resolve about your values, and "smarts" yourself - that the scammer just drops the crap 'cos he knows it's pointless.
If you can get that kind of respect from a junky or a scammer - that is serious cred in my book.

That JB, also can pick and choose to be friendly to a fuck-up, accordng to the particular individual , not stereotyping them all together - well, thats another couple more bumps up the respect ladder that he has climbed in my book.
'Onya John.

( ^^ signs of a truly free man - not bound by other peoples strictures, and able to talk to even scammers and junkies without fear)

Steve uses the story of looking for a church to help him with his plight of being robbed. The church is a great distance so I guess he’s looking for money for a tuk tuk. I just told him to walk in that general direction for 2 hours and pointed the way.

Not sure why but I didn’t mind Steve, while the fake monks really bother me. Something about pretending to be a monk just makes me annoyed about it.

Thank you for that update on Steve, I must know his face but cannot place him in my mind.
I am off the charity train and my heart strings are tucked away for all, I will try to help those worthy but not with anymore bs I really appreciate all the feedback and comments on this board as the comments are mostly constructive and spot on. The other boards here in the KOW just could not manage the mindless male ego talk.
