isn't contempt of court a statement by a judge with some kind of document rather than a condition of non compliance of orders?
is a warrant, writ or order by the court not issued for the condition of being in contempt of court?

Rochelle is out of hiding and is now giving character references and spreading negative national stereotypes on the Kampot Noticeboard. It's relating to a post in which a regular poster to the Kampot Noticeboard is promoting the sale of Vanuatu passports as an investment strategy.

Rochelle Costigan: I have to contribute to this discourse. as a friend of XXXXXX XXXXX. He may be many things, mostly, if not all very good, yet he is no scammer in any way, shape, or form whatsoever. Once again, I reiterate, XXXXXX XXXXX, is one of the finest gentlemen I know and he is NOT a scammer of any sort. XXXXXX XXXXX, feel free to delete this if you wish. I just can't stand to read people who don't know what a kind and honest person you are try to insinuate anything different. XXXXXX XXXXX did not ask for my opinion and neither did any of you so thank you for you time.
Rochelle Costigan: XXXXXX XXXXX, I'd trust you with my last cent. And besides, you're a Scot. You'd rather jump off a cliff than lose a cent. ;) Sorry, I had to...

As a Scot I hear that remark often, normally when I pay for something & tip. Ironic really.
It's really not insulting imo.

Obviously no one condones wife beating (except Flying Chicken). But there are proper ways for victims to handle that. You petition a court for full parental rights. The dude would then get to tell his side of a story in court. Both parties would be cross-examined by each other's lawyers. Then the court would decide who gets custody.

You can't just run off to Cambodia with your kid and declare yourself the sole custodial parent. It's wrong and illegal.
Slow down partner. The law on this is complicated. If she is the childs mother and her name is on the birth certificate and they have the same surname and she is Cambodian I do not think she needs legal permission to leave the USA with him. heck here https://travel.state.gov/content/travel ... -faqs.html. It says "The United States does not have exit controls or require two-parent consent for a minor to leave the country. If traveling from the United States to Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean, travelers are also subject to the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI). Under WHTI, countries have different entry and exit requirements for travelers and in some cases minors may exit the U.S. without a passport. To learn more about these requirements, including land and sea entry and exit laws for all travelers, review Customs and Border Protection’s information about WHTI."

if correct she did not break any laws bringing him to Cambodia, unless there was a court order preventing her form doing it. The kidnappers have definitely broken the law.I hopoe they are caught and do a nice stretch in Prey Sar for the emotional damage they have done just by the act of kidnap, regardless of the motive.

Too many variables. is dads name on the birth certificate? where was child born? how long were they in the US? were they on holiday or living there?
She says under Cambodian Law she is the sole guardian. that implies dad is NOT on the birth certificate and/or they were not married. Custody is determined in the country of normal residence of the child. Under Cambodian law if you are not married you have to claim the child by attending at the registry at birth and putting your name on the birth certificate or by court order, otherwise mum is the sole guardian and dad can go whistle. Been through all this with a half Khmer child earlier in the year.

None of the players in this are Cambodian. All born and raised (presumably) in the US.

Not if there's a fire, not even if you hear the sound of a thud from my home and one week later there's a smell coming from there that can only be a decaying human body and you have to hold a hanky to your face because the stench is so thick that you think you're going to faint.

Even then, don't come knocking...Not for ANY reason.
