Khmers Seem Worried About This Stinky, Homeless Barang

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Khmers Seem Worried About This Stinky, Homeless Barang

Post by General Mackevili »

A Cambodian found this guy, "David from the UK," starving in the street, without a passport and smelling pretty bad, took mercy on him and gave him food and clothes.

Think he needs help, or is the new Barang lifestyle that seems to be more popular by the week?

From Facebook:

All friend on Facebook, please help share this. Perhaps someone know his family. He said he is from BKK ( maybe Bangkok). He starved, so I gave him food.

His clothes are really smelly. So I gave him clothes to change. He is sitting in front of my house. He is hopeless and nowhere to go. His name is David from UK.

He looks pretty clean. To Cambodians every foreigner is smelling pretty bad. If he's starving, yes, please give him some food and try to help him to get home, otherwise this country is going to kill him.

I believe that's called "Slim Fit" these days. That style is not very kind to me. Image

It appears to me indeed that more and more foreigners run into financial problems in Cambodia. Therefore I would like to suggest that a RELIABLE person of this board who's living in Cambodia (General Mackevili, Username Taken) opens a kind of NGO that helps foreigners in need. If you could manage to do that, I would be pleased to donate $ 500.

I just hope he doesn't have the bloody cheek to ask his embassy to notify his family.

Well, I hoped that I wouldn't be the only donator. You could donate something, too.

As a director of a school you should have a little more than just used underpants.

I saw him first wandering along on 271 about 2 or 3 years ago.
