KFC Riverside

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Twice I've been now and twice their fillet burgers have give me a mild case of food poisoning. I have a KFC once in a blue moon and tbh I hadn't been for months till last week.

I wonder how many, if any, of these new chains provide the staff with food handling training.

Well, I do not wonder. Rule # 1 in Cambodia is: WE DON'T THROW THINGS AWAY.(good appetite)
So let's say you are experiencing one of these many power cuts in PP that can last for several hours, even days - and all products are defrosting then the normal reaction of a Cambodian is "ok, no problem....let's refreeze the whole shit". Let that happen several times and BINGO ! you got a food poisoning.
This is also aggravated by the fact that Cambodians have absolutely no clue, and absolutely no training regarding food safety.
Next time throw in an antibiotic pill before you go there :beer3:
Und der Haifisch der hat Tränen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht

In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

I've had that one too. Taken a bite and it's still red inside. Take it back and they exchange it, re-cook it and sell it on to the next customer.
I have seen one that a friend bought which clearly had a bite taken out of it.

KFC(R) Kentucky Fried Rat, as I call it. Don't like it in the States and don't eat there in PP. Wish we had a real place like Popeye's. There are 11 Popeye's outlets in Singapore. Mash n' gravy, deep fried chicken, red beans n' rice. Small capillaries snap shut.
