Kampong Cham is starting to dissapear

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. I built a house in kompong cham. Hope the whole town sinks or burns or falls prey to some kind of disaster.
Sounds interesting, how about some details.

Is the road finished yet ?

Nope and it appears it will be on-going for some time. As I understand it the plan is to make Nat Route 7 four lanes all the way to the Vietnamese border and of course to Siam Reap as well.
There are a lot of people who have built their houses close to the road who are going to be more than a little bit upset. The mess will resemble the one you can see in Skuon, but many kilometers longer. Why they choose to start work in rainy season and afterwords why they work so slowly is beyond me. Also, there is no way they can make the current bridge(Kizona) in Kampong Cham four land, so I assume they will build another 2 land bridge or else leave Kizona 2 lane as it currently is.

Sorry, "4 land" is obviously a typo for 4 lane.

Thanks for the update !

It has been a while since I drove that road. I miss Kampong Chom.

Do you know any of the people who paddle those racing canoes ?

Nope, Dara, I don't know a single one. Boat racing is not "my thing", I'd rather watch paint dry.

Why watch ? If you entered the race you might win .

Look, I don't even watch the races. Also suggested plants will not work where the shore caved in; it's just too steep. Even small trees were washed away.

You seem rather sad taab...

too bad.

I guess Diggr3 is losing his house to an ex.........

quote diggr
I built a house in kompong cham. Hope the whole town sinks or burns or falls prey to some kind of disaster.

Now he has a case to be a bit sad, but he is not particularly so.

I thought Digger sounded rather cheerful today.
