Hahaha! Looks like they're buying him a bus ticket to Thailand.
Well played, Cambodia.
"Here you go, young man. Some smokes, a coconut and a one-way ticket to Bangkok. Don't mention anything about having no money until you've made it all the way through immigration. Good luck!"

Is that called 'kicking the can down the road'?

The Mekong hotel used to be the place to stay. Still looks ok.

He'll probably be refused entry to Thailand, most, not all, of the land border crossings into Thailand are cracking down and insisting on seeing 20,000 Baht cash, accom bookings, and onward travel

There's hope for humanity yet, and what a great PR job. Well done the police. Almost makes me want to move to Kampong Cham.

For homeless, no money and 78, he don't look bad! Doesn't look over 68, really. That's right, send him to Thailand and let them deal with him!

NIce PR opt for the police being that he was a victim of a crime and pennyless after being mugged.. not homeless....best part of the story is, he is coming home...obviously as the hospital is holding his Passport until the bill is paid....which it has been !!!

He was a victim of a crime....far from a homeless man. Sometimes it is best to not say nothing and get things done then to yap off and be delayed !

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Did he want to go to Thailand? Was he given a choice in the matter?
