No Joke Howard Writes a Book!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

No Joke Howard Writes a Book!

Post by TheGrinchSR »

And amazingly it's not in crayon!

However it is a massive 35 pages long and costs $7... so I think I'll wait until they print it on Cambodian toilet roll. The intro alone is is the worst piece of writing I've read in a long time. Enjoy (or don't - which will apply to all the literate people in the audience).

How To Stop Being A Bitch, Quit Your Lame Ass Job, and Move To Cambodia Kindle Edition

by Braeton Howard

A fully comprehensive guide on how to leave your boring life behind, stop making excuses, and start a new life in Cambodia.

And his one and only review, which is 2 out of 5 stars:

For the one that has never travelled or moved internationally

For the one that has never travelled or moved internationally, this MIGHT be beneficial to the one looking into Cambodia. I compare this work to the sprinkle of a cupcake.....there are many of them. Meaning, dont rely on just this work. For myself having been to and have lived in 5 countries outside of the US. I did not find the flight/packing tips to be of any use. I did not find the sprinkle of info of culture to be of any use, nor the drug/prostitution section to be of any use. I don't believe this work would be of benefit to the one wanting to teach or set up business in Cambodia. I give it 2 stars because for a general audience, the language is not befitting. It lacks in photos to go along with the ideology of the work being a "manual". I see it as something for the author to make a quick dollar, needs more heart and effort. Big spark with no fuel. Just being honest.

Oh, I see there's a second review, for 1 star:

This review is from: How To Stop Being A Bitch, Quit Your Lame Ass Job, and Move To Cambodia (Kindle Edition)

The great thing about Kindle is that anyone can publish a book. The bad thing about Kindle is...well, that anyone can publish a book. This falls into the category of "why the hell did anyone let this guy near a laptop?". This man's continued outbursts on facebook and youtube among others are little more than embarrassing. His brain-dead, steroid-driven rants serve only to make you wonder just how drunk the immigration officers were when they let him into Cambodia. His videos are laughable, but not in a good way. How someone who has spent so little time in the Kingdom of Wonder thinks he can give advice to potential expats is frankly bewildering. Please do not give this man any further platform for his rambling, incoherent babble. There is plenty of good advice and books available on moving to or living in Cambodia. This is not one of them.

Sadly no, one of No Joke's latest YouTube monstrosities is promoting it too...

i watched a few of his videos. He said the word fucking at least 50 percent in his each video.
