John's Dog Destroyed My Shoes. Can You Help Me?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. John's Dog Destroyed My Shoes. Can You Help Me?

Post by General Mackevili »

Taken off Facebook:

Hi, this is Chihyu. I'm from Taiwan and now I'm doing research of Cambodian Dance in PP. I would like to ask that can I post this message in the group "Expats and locals living in Phnom Penh".

I want to find a american guy, he is my leaving flatmate, his name is John. The thing is that his dog destroyed my shoes and I ask hime to pay, he said no, and promised me that he would repair that. And he forgot to repair it almost two weeks and now he is moving out tomorrow.

I asked him again, and he said that he forget. Because that he is goint to move, I told him that he should pay that, but he still insist to repair. Yesterday he told me that he repaired it already. But actually he didn't find the part, he just tied it with a string, and kept saying that it is still functional.

He doesn't want to face the problem and just locked the door......I'm trying to discuss with him but he just ran back to his room.

He doesn't want to face the problem he did and reject to communicate. It is a little problem, but I can not believe that someone can be so irresponsible like that. All I want is a resonable treatment.

I hope people who knew him or his future roommate can pay attention to that, don't lost anything because of him or his dog.

Although I do not want to see this person anymore, but I still hope that we can resolve this matter. After all, I still lost a pair of shoes, and he lost my respect to him.

Totally irresponsible,,,, Leaving shoes where a dog can get them and not putting them away on a shelf or cupboard.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

i don't understand about some people this day. Sometime they take little thing so seriously #nounderstanding. if i were her, i would just forget it and buy a new one. Posting such thing on Facebook where thousand of people can see is really offensive and embarrassing. However it made my day. :) can't stop laughing.
