Jake (Thai Ridgeback from Garage Bar) Missing in Phnom Penh, Cambodia; $250 Reward
Many of you know Jake, the Thai Ridgeback dog from Garage. He has gone missing in Phnom Penh after being hit by a motorbike.
Be on the lookout for him, but also be careful, as he's not very cuddly.
'Dog lost Saturday in Tuol Sleng area. This Thai Ridgeback called Jake was hit by a bike and ran away on Saturday. He may have an injured leg.
Reward: $250
Edit: Don't try and corner or catch this dog, like most local dogs it is not really a pet and will bite strangers.'

I was told the same about the owner.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

That's sad news. I accompanied Brunt and Jake on a ratting expedition along Riverside one night, hugely entertaining. Jake can leap from garden bed to garden bed and land stiff legged on big old grandpa rats with a high degree of accuracy. Scares the tourists, though.Felgerkarb wrote: ↑Mon Sep 03, 2018 6:41 pmYes, and a proud member of The Compound Family in TTP. We are all gutted. Rats pose no problem for a breed that keeps lions at bay. Here's some more from Wikipedia.
"Temperament Edit
Rhodesian Ridgebacks are known to be loyal and intelligent. They are typically somewhat aloof to strangers; this is not to be confused with aggression, a Rhodesian Ridgeback with a good temperament will not attack a stranger for no reason. They require positive, reward-based training, good socialization and consistency; they are often not the best choice for inexperienced dog owners.[19] Rhodesian Ridgebacks are strong-willed and confident dogs.[20] They are protective of their owners and families; if trained well, they can be excellent guard dogs.[21]
Despite Rhodesian Ridgebacks being extremely athletic and sometimes imposing, they do have a sensitive side. Francis R. Barnes, who wrote the first standard in 1922, acknowledged that, "rough treatment ... should never be administered to these dogs, especially when they are young. They go to pieces with handling of that kind."[22] The Rhodesian Ridgeback accepts correction as long as it is fair and justified, and as long as it comes from someone the dog knows and trusts"
