Hope the dog gets found. I know how distressing it is when a pet is missing...

If the dog is injured it's probably laying low so don't forget to look under cars. Good luck!

"Temperament Edit
Rhodesian Ridgebacks are known to be loyal and intelligent. They require positive, reward-based training, good socialization and consistency; they are often not the best choice for inexperienced dog owners.[19] Rhodesian Ridgebacks are strong-willed and confident dogs.[20] They are protective of their owners and families; if trained well, they can be excellent guard dogs.[21]

Despite Rhodesian Ridgebacks being extremely athletic and sometimes imposing, they do have a sensitive side. Francis R. Barnes, who wrote the first standard in 1922, acknowledged that, "rough treatment ... should never be administered to these dogs, especially when they are young. They go to pieces with handling of that kind."[22] The Rhodesian Ridgeback accepts correction as long as it is fair and justified, and as long as it comes from someone the dog knows and trusts"

Other than that, the Thai and Rhodesian Ridgeback are quite different in appearance. Rhodesian Ridgebacks are tan, Thai Ridgebacks are silver. Rhodesians have flat ears, Thais have pointy ears. Rhodesian tails hang low, Thai tails are slightly higher and stiffer.
Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

Should be restated - Jake is an absolute hell-hound and if he's injured he's probably quite unsafe. Don't try to catch him if you see him, just track him and call the number provided - 017 830 546.

The owner lets his dog run around unleashed? Unacceptable.

Thanks for bringing my false breed identification to my attention. Just to complicate matters a bit here is a third breed of ridgeback.

"The Phu Quoc Ridgeback is best known for its ability to jump higher and run and swim faster than most other breeds. These dogs love to hunt and chase, and are also known for protecting their home. This breed is extremely loyal, loving, and naturally obedient, thriving on dependable human relationships. The Phu Quoc is an intelligent and curious breed that loves to learn."

As an inveterate dog lover I hope he is found soon.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

There isn't a scrap of fat on Jake, that is solid muscle.

Jake was spotted at TTP pagoda. A tuk tuk driver in need of the cash reward called and an ally went and recovered Jake.

He is thinner but uninjured, no broken leg or anything.

Today is Brunt's birthday, so a fine gift for him.
