its sunday
Life's journey is not to
arrive at the grave safely
in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways,
totally worn out, shouting,
".. holy shit ...what a ride!"

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

I always held myself to my own personal "moral high ground" but these last few years I've had to conform and become everything I hate.phuketrichard wrote:Life's journey is not to

I died years ago.

Re: its sunday
They were rough, those old Legion days, and they took some crucial years in my life. But looking back now I do not regret it for a single second. It was a magnificent experience. We had a camaraderie that was unparalleled and the world was a much freer place in which to move than today There was time to wander off the path, so that a boy of nineteen could run off and climb a mountain if he wanted to. The corridors of life today seem narrow in comparison and the materialistic ends we week require a constant progression along the path from the moment we take out first examination.
But there is time. And to those that totter on the brink, my advice is to go and climb the mountains of life, and do so while you are young and you will be happy at sixty.
