Re: Introduce Yourself
Let's be honest, you were deliberately pushing buttons for a specific response so that you could take your 'shame' stance.GeeMan wrote:Shame - I was hoping for better, my optimism obviously got the better of me. I wasn't aware I was 'dissing' anyone, my tone has been nothing but conciliatory.StroppyChops wrote:GeeMan wrote:But do carry on, what we're you saying before you dissed much of the CEO membership?
D, at least give the "sarcastic bastard" a right of reply before moving this to the designated bucket.
So much for a brave new world, SC, you certainly live up to your name. Again, a shame.
440 had a pet hobby horse whereby they attacked all things Pattaya. I've been a BM on PA for many years now, and a fundamental ethic there has always been 'nice to be nice'. PA has always been, IMO, a better board for it. Maybe we should consider that here.
Anyho, I've said my piece. Best wishes all

Re: Introduce Yourself
After spending a lot of time ing on k440 (I think I might have posted once) I noticed this one and spend a similar amount of time ing. Hopefully I'll post a bit more on this one. I've been to Phnom Penh several times travelling and on holiday, meaning to move over there at some point, but still haven't managed that. Hopefully this year it will happen. Anyway, just to say, great forum, seems to be a lot more relaxed and at least just as useful. Good work, guys.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Evening all,
Been in Cambodia for just over 5 years. Had plans to continue traveling through SEA, but fell in love with this little unassuming kingdom and never left. Was in the military for 9 years so my wanderlust has pretty much been satiated and I'm now content to live, love, learn, work, and travel in this fascinating country for the foreseeable future. As the Gen. puts it, "No exit plan."
Participated quite a bit on the other site under a different username. But things there have taken a turn, a turn I'm not sure I wish to follow yet.
Anyway, this site reminds me of what the other was like many years ago. For all the good reasons.
Anyway bravo to the Dragon and the Gen., continued success and all the best.
HB

Re: Introduce Yourself
I've been in Cambodia for 3 years.
Before that was travelling for a few, and got sick of that a bit. Now, I think I wanna do some more traveling (I work online).
Just trying to decide if I should keep a home base here, now that I have "stuff".
I don't know why I chose Cambodia, just seemed like the most interesting place at the time.

The cedar roasted asparagus has good chew. I don't know how to enjoy it, so I'll Instagram it instead.

Re: Introduce Yourself
Just my 2 cents worth,,,,, but I think one of the first things a [ new ] member should see [ top of the page ] is the ''Introduce Yourself '' and not have to scroll down to page 2 or more of the general chatter.
Everyone loves to have a drink with Duncan so there's no need for me to introduce myself.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
