Hi there.
I joined many years ago when Cambodia was on my radar, but for some reason it dropped off.
I'm due to retire to Thailand next month, but nobody is exactly sure how the ammendments to the tax law will affect people with an overseas income, and this is not a topic for discussion.
I'm using that as a great excuse to spend a month at a time in neighbouring countries, you know so I spend less than 180 days in Thailand and do not qualify as a tax resident, however that pans out.
I've probably been too fixated on Thailand over the years, I suppose because it was my comfort zone, and a potential love interest I had could fizzle out, not because of us, but family circumstances.
I'm being honest as well by saying probably a lot of my Thailand fixation was mongering, it was just so easy, but now I'm retiring, and about to hit that 60 mark, I should maybe be thinking of an alternative pathway to the end.

That's the introduction, now the questions.
In my initial month fact finding of probably Phnom Phen, and on recommendations I may go elsewhere, I will no doubt indulge in my mongering hobby, not all the time because of financial restrictions, but when the need arises, which to be fair is always, but I need to slow down!
I've done a bit of a search on guest friendly hotels in PP, and it seems there are quite a few at reasonable prices, but they seem to be lacking a gym and a pool, or maybe that's me not digging deep enough.
Retiring is hopefully a bit of a change of life for me, trying to take care of myself, so a gym and a pool, maybe even a sauna, will take a few hours of the day that could be sitting in a bar, and do me some good.
OK, that was a statement, not a question. So the question is, any recommendations for a guest friendly hotel in PP with a pool and a gym?
Next question, recommendations for the above in some other great Cambodian destination? I've heard Snooky has gone downhill, though I've never been there and Kam Pot is not a bad place.
Any advice would be welcome, or you could maybe point me to teh relevant forum to help answer my questions.
