Introduce Yourself

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Guess I'll add another post to this thread. I'm ThatGuy from the States. Lived in PP for a while back in 2017 after becoming exhausted by the endless visa runs in Thailand. Came back to the States to increase my bank roll a bit, hoping to be back in the Kingdom of Wonders soon.

Hello,

I married a Khmer woman last July 2019. We are working on getting her USA visa (waiting for embassy to open).

I am waiting for Visa services to open again at the Cambodian Embassy so I can visit.

We are in a stand still.

Thank you for the forum to share information.

Sincerely,

RTrac

Welcome Rtrac,

After over 1 year since application for visa, me and missus have arrived at the consular level (aka US Embassy). No idea how long things churn before she gets the interview. The processes is a lot slower than in previous years.

Right now, Cambodia requires 14 day quarantine - government facilities if a one passenger tests positive or self-quarantine, and possibly another employer mandated quarantine on arrival back to the US. No employer (that I know of) gives 5 weeks of continuous vacation time.

It’s the waiting game for everyone right now.

Good luck!

Hey to everyone, I'm a newbie here.
Now I'm in Canada, but I'm going to move to Cambodia, so I'd like to find here some useful tips and meet new people.
I'm happy to be a part of your community.

Hi all, I'm new, and long time CEO reader. I lived in Cambodia for 2y, and I miss it. I have my own story with Cambodian girlfriend that didn't end well. I hope I can explain this as soon as I can write posts, or if there's a thread for "broken hearts" :D.

PD: Ups, this is the official presentation thread, I already presented in the "Welcome chatter" thread, I hope they remove it.
