Introduce Yourself

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I would love to find an establishment with a wide range of red wines for myself and companion. I would like to start a topic on this as well at a later date if possible. Thanks and #ENJOY!

Hey all,

I'm an American who has lived the past 8 years in Southeast Asia, the past 4 in Vietnam. First visited the KoW in 2003 to visit Angkor Wat (glad I first went then, it was still fairly empty) and since moving to this part of the world, have made Cambodia my go-to destination, usually during Tet. It's a nice, quick and inexpensive getaway.

Been to PP a few times, Sihanoukville once a few years ago, SR a few times since 2003, Battambang, and Kep and Kampot. Despite being next door, I find it sufficiently different as to continue to be interesting.

Long-time lurker...this forum is great and I thank the mods and posters for keeping me informed and up to date.

Is that the riel '' Bubble T '' or a fake .
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Hi everyone,

have lived in various places in Europe, California & Thailand. During my time there, while teaching at Bangkok University, I'd take a trip about every two months and ended up visiting every country in SE Asia (except the Philippines) + India at least once. Visited the KoW for the first time in 2003 - I should have gone way sooner really and like a previous poster stated, I'm glad I got to visit Angkor Wat before it made everyone's bucket list.

I still remember finding an old NatGeo mag at my relatives in the 80's and reading about this strange small country and feeling strangely excited. Well, many years and trips later, that feeling still holds.

Taking the plunge next year and will start over in Asia yet again.
