Introduce Yourself

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Fascinated by the country and the culture, but haven't pulled the trigger on going yet. I have several friends located across Cambodia, however, and wanted to join these boards to get additional perspectives. Pretty dull, I know, but hey it's an introduction.

Been here on an off since 2006 and now back again...this place gets addicting. Not loving Phnom Penh much though, I didn't realise how good it was in Siem Reap while I was living there.

Hi! I'm moo and I am not an expat, but I am Hmong and have family from Cambodia and Laos. I've only ever been to Laos when I was a teen, but I'd like to take a trip to SE Asia one time soon. Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand are on my wishlist for sure.

Hello all, I'm new here.

I've been visiting Thailand for the past 11 years, mostly Pattaya, and am bored with the place and a bit pissed off with how everything is going there. I've heard a load of good things about Cambodia from people I am friendly with but don't know, however a mate has just returned and gave a glowing report. I had already pre-booked an 8 day trip to Bangkok, in so far as return airfares, so my plan now is to continue on to Cambodia. I'm looking forward to getting enough info to give me a good holiday. There's lots of stuff available on searches, including extracts from this site, but I'm hoping to get some real life first hand information on the best ways to fulfill my hierarchy of needs...beer, food, sex-in no particular order. They say Cambodia is like Thailand was 10 years ago, I hope so!
Cheers

Whoever said that wasn't in Thailand 10 years ago.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
