Introduce Yourself

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Hi everyone

My names Dru, 31. I recently moved to Phnom Penh from Australia with my wife. I'm currently finishing a bit of study (social science/anthropology), and aim to do a bit of research while I'm here. I'll also be helping a friend here with a development project. Really I'm just a tag along though, as my wife's here to train/mentor Khmer teachers.

Anyway, I'll be lurking around - virtually and physically.

Hi,

I'm a researcher from TV Company Blink Films in the UK. We are making a pilot for Channel 4 about early retirement. We're looking to speak to anyone who might've ditched the Daily Grind of the 9-5 early to retire to Cambodia. If this applies to you (or someone you know) we'd love to hear from you!

Please contact [email protected]!

Thanks,
Beth

Hi Beth, welcome to the forum.

I think the person you should speak to used to go by the name of 'bkktrapper', however he now uses the name 'phrammoianchor'. Search the members list, then send him a PM. I believe he's an early retiree.

Hi there, I'm a newbie to the forum and to Phnom Penh. I've visited several times but not made it my home until now. I'm excited to find such a good forum, I am seeing a ton of handy info already.

Aint that the truth ! I find when i make the staying healthy part a priority it eases the sufferin on the rest of it . Spent a little time in asia but never cambodia . Watched too many guys take a turn for the worse with cheap booze and beautiful women . And it sounds like you even gotta dodge good food in cambodia !
