Inside the Belly of a Dragon follows a remarkable voyage of discovery and recovery for the renowned Northern Irish Clown, Hugh W Brown. Arriving in Cambodia broken hearted and disenchanted with life as a performer, the Clown embarks on a journey through this beautiful country and is slowly lifted from his gloom by the breathtaking landscapes and his various comic encounters with the local communities and the remarkable artists and individuals who live within them. His travels in search of a limestone mountain that locals describe as 'The Dragon', see this charming and unusual film culminate with footage of an incredible Concert held inside this mountain.
A Concert that is a unique and heartwarming showcase of traditional and modern Cambodian and European Arts but also a reminder of the value and healing power that these Arts possess.

Yea, they ran out of money for the soundtrack or something a couple years ago and were crowd funding, must've been successful raising the required funds.

It's beautifully shot, and has that mysterious quality, brilliant.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

This film should be Cambodia's entry ( next year as it took place the first week in Sept) to the Telluride film festival
it shows, for me, what is the best of what Cambodia is, the caring and accepting of the people and the beauty of the country :thumb:

“Telluride Film Festival has long been a platform for films from many different cultures and backgrounds that celebrate diversity,” said Telluride Film Festival executive director Julie Huntsinger. “We feel it’s more important than ever to promote the unique and beautiful differences that exist in the world. From a wide range of new American and foreign cinema to eye-opening documentaries and gorgeous restorations, we are proud to present this 44th program and honor those artists who have made it possible.”
