Inside Fireworks with a Quadrocopters

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Yes, it is a bit of fun. I cant say I use it loads, I don't but it is fun.

I do like my toys, I have a few including a top shelf metal detector but I don't think that will be coming with me to Cambodia, any time soon

And what do you think of this quadrocopter? Less than $100! Free delivery to Cambodia!

Still, not a bad starter for less than $100 with free shipping to Cambodia, right?

Anyone take a look at it yet? Order from dx.com? Received a package from them in PP?

yes i looked, it's a piece of crap. not a good starter at all considering for only a $200 more you can get something with 10x the quality.

I'm guessing that to get the range, optics and performance one would be happy with, that $1000 would need to be invested.

Wiggan's Parrot A R Drone seems like a nice unit. Upgrade the battery perhaps.

$318... has a lot of the features that $100 unit doesn't even come close to having, like return home, a GPS flight recorder and an HD camera.
