Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Thank you for reporting this.
IMO, consider changing the title as this is much more than a travel regulation.

“Under the proposed laws, unmarried couples who “live together as a husband and wife” could be jailed for six months or face a maximum fine of 10 million rupiah ($710), which is three months’ salary for many Indonesians.”

If I read this right and this really becomes law, this truly is mind boggling:

According to this article, 40% of Indonesian adolescents will have potential criminal prosecution hanging over their head.

And:
“The new laws will also apply to foreigners. However, asked whether tourists in Indonesia could face jail for extramarital sex, Taufiqulhadi said: “No problem, as long as people don’t know.”

But anyone going there with their gf/bf would in principle be subject to this.

And the Saudi's still fund the madrassas to the tune of billions.
The first generation of these kids are now mid ranking officers of gov, bureaucracy, law, academia, the mosques, etc.
all through Indonesian society.
This swing is going to continue.

just ask the president, and the Saudi's..

And one more quote from the story, the law would, in effect, ban abortion and discourage contraception:
There would also be a maximum four-year prison term for women who have an abortion, applicable if there was no medical emergency or rape involved. The code further introduces fines for some people who promote contraception, and a six-month prison term for unauthorized discussion of “tools of abortion”.
So expect more little muslims.

In Malaysia this year with my Khmer lady, I was surprised to get some negativity when checking in - even at a 4* Western hotel in KL. The headscarved lady implied we should take separate rooms!

Yes, and they need the money. Their central bank reduced rates today by 25bps to 5.25% "as expected as ambitious 40% of GDP infrastructure spending plan needs help. Fiscal room is way too limited so monetary policy needs to step in to ease monetary conditions!" (from Trinh Nguyen's tweet of today).
