I have witnesses. They saw me doing it. It works. Every time.
AE86 wrote: Sun Jun 18, 2017 12:22 amPretending to speak Arabic to Khmer police officers invoking Allah somehow into things only makes you look like a crazy methhead barang, not a viable threat and therefore I still stand by my advice.
I don't really choose when to do it. It is the uniforms that pick the time and the place. But then again, it is pretty much a routine now.
AE86 wrote: Sun Jun 18, 2017 12:22 amDon't threaten the police (legitimately)
Why not? It works. I instill the fear of the Almighty into doubtful minds.
By the way, if that were a forbidden behaviour, then the scriptures would mention that. They don't.
AE86 wrote: Sun Jun 18, 2017 12:22 amtake their picture and try to expose them for their behaviour. Things will not end well for those that do.
Well, I have been doing that for 12+ years now. You see, I do not count on any westerner to ever do anything to help me. The uniforms know that too. There is no unifying principle that creates a coordinating effect amongst westerners. You could have one million of them, and then just the five of you, visit them one by one. It would work and it is ridiculous, but they don't see that. They are completely individualized. Powerless. Easy targets. The presence of a herd of buffalos will automatically attract tigers to feed on them.

We have our reasons for our ways, I'll leave it at that. Both our sides I think are expressed clearly enough for those reading to be able to make their own decisions with how they're going to act should the situation arise.

As long as you preferably do not encourage them, by making it way too easy to harass you, you can indeed do whatever you believe, will suit you. The scriptures absolutely concord with that.

Quran. Al Baqara 256. There is no compulsion in religion, but still, the right way has become clearly distinct from error. Therefore, whoever disbelieves in the false pagan gods who associate themselves as lawmakers next to or above the only legitimate one, but exclusively believes in the legitimacy of the Almighty, he has indeed laid hold on the firmest handle, which shall not break off, while the Almighty hears and appreciates it.

If they are leaving you alone, and you didn't pay anything, well, that would be mission accomplished, wouldn't it?

In fact, it is a general observation that there are fundamentally two kinds of people in this world: [1] crazy or [2] stupid. The vast majority is stupid and also poor. A minority is crazy and often also rich. This is largely what explains why poor and rich do not mix, and certainly do not get along. Poor and rich do not even marry. They simply cannot stand each other. You will never get invited to a party on a yacht at the marina. You would start saying that everybody there is crazy. On the other hand, a rich person thinks that if he starts thinking like you, that poor guy, he will just become as poor as you, and what would be the point in that? There are already enough people mired in poverty in this world. Nobody needs more of that.

The crazy life of Google founder Sergey Brin

"Saying he's not very social and 'kind of a weirdo'"

"Brin made about $4 billion this year"

"Now he's worth about $35 billion"

I've got my own boat at the marina, and I meet lots of other rich people there. I know that they must be rich, because their boat is often worth $10+ million. All of them are certainly "crazy" in one way or another. Not one exception. That is what you should expect. Otherwise, they wouldn't be so rich. Talk with them and you'll see. Correction. They will never talk with you, if only, because you will never make it past private security at the gates. Now hurry. Try to be in time for your payday loan at the pawn shop.

I am in good company, aren't I? Sergey Brin also self-declares to be a "weirdo". Therefore, there is nothing wrong in being a "weirdo". It is way worse to be a working-class idiot mired in poverty, lining up for the very few jobs that Donald Trump was going to bring back. We have effectively succeeded in destroying your entire class.

It is true that I do not often meet expats in Cambodia worth meeting. Quite a few of them end up wanting to "borrow money" from me, but how exactly will they pay me back? That is something that they always fail to clarify. So, no, I am not lending any money. As you know, the rich and intelligent Cambodians do not particularly want to socialize with foreigners, outside the context of trade, and up till now, I have never had the desire to trade with them. They don't speak English. They don't understand technology. So, what are we supposed to trade? Concerning the poor and uneducated Cambodians, let it be. They surely only want money. They run after you for it. I am ok to give money to worthy causes, though. Zakaat for English-speaking muslims or so.

So, indeed, I am looking to socialize more frequently, with people who have more brains and more money than you. My boat is currently in Malaysia. However, I don't feel like jumping on the plane every day just to chat with someone provenly less dumb than someone like you. Should I enter the Malaysia My Second Home program and buy the $25 000 visa? Not sure. My wife is Khmer and she doesn't want to live in Malaysia. Otherwise, she is ok to go sailing there for a month or so.

Look. Let me teach you a lesson. Don't call people names, who have more money than you have ever seen in your life. It is not going to do you any good. We spit on people like you.

Because we like to spit like camels and those peasants who chew paan.

Swallow your spit for a week Erik. Try to be less insulting if you choose to return after the ban.
Luigi could pilot a ship in adverse weather, can you?
Best stick to yachts and hirelings if you cannot be civil.
