Huge storm

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

A bit of wind and a few clouds but not bad over by the riverside.

I’m praying for rain so I don’t have to take the kids out into the masses again today. Two days is already two too many.

The Damrey storm and residue has struck further north than the first forecast. There was some heavy rain in the north-east - Rattanakiri and Mondulkiri - over the weekend, but it's fine and cloudy down in Sihanoukville.
Now they are forecasting further rain for inland Cambodia in the next few days, so get your raincoats ready.

Phnom Penh:
On 7 November 2017, Ministry of Weather Broadcast announced that Cambodia would experience the Northeast low wind pressure causing it to rain in most part of Cambodia such as Phnom Penh, Kandal, Takeo, Kompong Speu, Preyveng, Svayreang, Kompong Chhnang, Kompong Thom, Siem Reap, Pailin, Thbong Kmom, Steung Treng, Krotie, Kompong Cham, Mondolkiri, and Rattanakiri from 8 to 10 November.

On the coast the wind speed would be approximately 4 to 6 kilometres per hour and it may be raining in parts of Kep, Kampot and Koh Kong, while the waves can range from 0.50 to 1.50 meters.

There must be some mistake as none of the weather sites show this, including the Cambodia Met Office warning page which is normally updated frequently and good about issuing timely warnings.

Sorry, corrected to that to wave height in the post above. :voilent1:
But, as FLB says, these forecasts may be way off. I posted the above because it was new today, and should be a correct update from the "Ministry of Weather Forecast". But who knows ?
