How do you earn a living in Cambodia?

Sounds like you've got things figured out. Good for you! I don't even know what online publishing is.FreeSocrates! wrote:Online publishing.
Most of my income comes from Google Adsense and is somewhat passive.
One advantage is I can go anywhere, when I get tired of Cambodia I go live in another country for a few months... lately I've been thinking about going to Malaysia for 3 months.
A massive disadvantage is it's quite solitary work.
Sounds like pornography.
I guess that means you are a writer? What kind of content?

I've been kicking around in various areas of construction/engineering management for ages. I was hoping to find something different. I have an idea for a small business, but am worried about financial failure at this point, and losing the savings I now have. I just don't want to start all over again at this stage of life if the business went tits up and took my investment money with it. I am almost at a point where I can retire and live (modestly) off dividends and investments, decades before the standard retirement age.OrangeDragon wrote:Why not do contract engineering for a local firm?

I work online in sales, but in the mainstream Entertainment Industry. Low-level, but in Cambodia even that pay is quite substantial.
Strangely, we're starting to move into Aussie government training program, it's almost like working on the dole, it's like free money of you do the right things, haha.
I have the freedom to roam as well, and I have a small team of 5 to work with online. Fun work, at times, occasionally real work, but it's a fun and profitable hunt and challenge to me.
It's almost like online fishing, and a license to fish in the giant pond of Australia! Sometimes I can land a big one! (We have differing products, some with much bigger commissions!

I'm a writer with a programming background. My main source of income comes from a website that teaches people about music... though that site is looking old now (it still makes money), but I need to find a new subject. Something I've been struggling with for quite some time.Soi Dog wrote:Sounds like you've got things figured out. Good for you! My Khmer teacher wants me to help him make a "Learn Khmer" website, so I am actually considering that, even though I doubt it would make much, it might help speak Khmer better.
The cedar roasted asparagus has good chew. I don't know how to enjoy it, so I'll Instagram it instead.

I've become independently wealthy by preying on the misery of others.
