How well we know each other

Does that mean you won't be able to sue me if I amputate the wrong leg? That's a relief...armchairlawyer wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 1:27 pmI'm betting he's no more a doctor than I am a lawyer!

I'm definitely a Brit, and I'd have a beer with you Teddy!!
Re: How well we know each other
I know one thing. Explorer is creepy.

And I'm not a star wars geek either
I'm standing up, so I must be straight.

It's a light trollish joke.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 9:48 amC’mon sir. What kind of response is that? The poster was positive, with a good posting. Why ruin it? Are you part of the sock puppet group that you mention?Ghostwriter wrote:They might all as well be the sockpuppets of an unique poster with heavy multiple personality disorder.
Maybe Batshitcrazyweirdo, maybe GavinMac, nobody knows
As for myself, I met the General a lifetime ago. Nice guy. I think he was surprised that I’m exactly the same person everyday as I am on CEO.
Some keyboard warriors are very different than the personas they pretend to be.
Threads are opportunities, some for joking, some for learning, some for sniffing each other's asses, some for making great statements...
The OP will see worse through the forum with time as he browses it, so i'm not sweating about the thread beiing ruined.
As for myself, i never met anybody while i was there, and i won't be back anyway, so probably not the same expectations / agenda here....Each poster's case is different, all kind of perspectives meet in the forum.
Some keyboard warriors are indeed very different than the image they project for sure, but there is also not only keyboard warriors here.
I don't fight for anything online, just beiing a sane French personalia with weird jokes as i am in flesh, because weird jokes is blowing steam in a much better way than what some posters do in Cambodia (which eventually ends up in the local News or Asisine forums). Beetween what we say on CEO and what we do in real life, i'm sure you know which part counts the most.
Hey OP, good thread anyway !

Enough of your sweeping generalizations... I can't assume anything about Teddy (or you) and having "a beer" is also my own euphemism for a gut-full...Username Taken wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 2:17 pmSurely a real Brit would say 'a pint' rather than a beer.

Re: How well we know each other
It's my experience people rarely live up to their online persona, most better left sitting in their y-fronts attempting to pick up a dropped chip/crisp from the floor with their malformed toes.

Re: How well we know each other
I’m still getting over the disappointment when it was revealed that the General was not the wooly hatted, overweight, bearded bloke in his thumbnail picture.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 10:25 am Wow. Weird how we can make totally different assumptions. Explorer doesn't sound full of youthful ideas to me, I reckon he's like mid 60s personally.
But yeah, it's weird how we can think we've got people figured out, but wall we get here is a glimpse. I've always avoided meeting posters as I've got these preconceived notions of people, and I think meeting people in real life would shatter that. We all act/write likely differently than we do in real life, just in different degrees. Some are likely very similar to their online personas, and others vastly different.
