Makes perfect sense.Yobbo wrote:Yes when most of us can't make sense of it, the powers of be make the most of it!
Iran has been attacking US forces in those countries. US is now striking back.
Of course, Iran is never actually held accountable for its actions. Either given a pass or lauded for standing up to the West.
Only the US gets reprimanded for taking action.
Cambodia is pretty safe as long as HE HM doesn’t get encouraged to retake stolen lands from Vietnam and Thailand (same time North Korea decides to liberate South Korea once and for all) when the war starts over Taiwan.

Nowhere is safe. Period.
Cambodia on its own of course feels safer than many places around the world, especially in comparison to big UK and American cities. But feeling safe and being safe is not the same thing. Anything can happen, even if one is cautious.
On the global scale. Nothing is to stop Cambodia from being caught between the powers as they blow one another up...
Nuclear fallout will kill all of us quickly and indiscriminately...
Nowhere today anywhere on Earth is safe. Maybe the International Space Station is a little bit safer.

Vote for “peace makers” who are not owned by military industrial complex … save us Obi Wan Kanobi … you’re our only hope.

Interesting point with the ISS. Unfortunately it depends on supplies from earth. If earth dies, everything up there will die as well within a few weeks. The only benefit I can see is, that you might be able to decide, where to get down (although I assume the calculations for the reentry are being done on earth as well, not sure if there are emergency autopilot functionalities. I know they are trained to operate the capsules, but an attempt of reentry to steep or too flat will result in a nice shooting star to watch, but gets a bit uncomfortable for the ones inside)
Ok, that was far, far OT...

Driving on Cambodian roads is just like playing a classic arcade top scroller. The only difference is a force feedback controller, the limitation to only one life and the inability to restart, once Game Over

Some of you guys really need to take a chill pill, we are all going to die anyway. Carpe diem.
One of my reasons for moving to Thailand back in the day. There's always some fun to be had RIGHT NOW, no need to wait and wait and wait - and ultimately die from a heart attack before you can even start spending your life savings.

International Space Station isn’t self sustainable. That’s the goal of the moon mission. So the astronauts will run out of supplies at some point. However, there is an emergency escape Soyuz capsule they can leave on. With a preprogrammed emergency re-entry path that will guide them to a safe landing.
Unfortunately the landing zones are pre-programmed for Russia Kazakhstan or somewhere in the US. All of of which are the center for any major war zone.
They could pick a quiet spot like Cambodia and try to land themselves. Besides the danger of overshoot and bouncing off the earth’s atmosphere and undershoot and burning up in the atmosphere, there is an even danger.
The earth is swarmed with a cloud of satellites. Some moving, others not. Most in low earth orbit, right near the optimal insertion point. Some working, some junk.
Usually NASA Control and US Space Command NORAD Cheyenne Mountain’s job is to identify and track all these satellites and send the info up to the ISS as well as assist with launch and return flight paths through the swarm. Both NASA and NORAD and all targeted for destruction as well.
Thailand, being a traditional US ally and supply base will be targeted. China has to clear a path for its supply ships. Vietnam is in the cross hairs as well.
Ultimately the decision rests on one person. And it isn’t Trump. Every US President has checks and balances on his power as Commander in Chief.
In the PRC, there is none.

My understanding is Vietnam still has a hold on Cambodia.
Perhaps one day Vn will just annex Cambodia. I know many well educated Khmers predicting it. Although they expect Thailand to grab more land then Vietnam to just step in & control the majority.
I know most will say this is nonsense but I'll go further & say if Vn stepped in, China would absolutely not go guns blazing.
Nobody wants to mess with good ole Vietnam. Vn running Cambodia? Has some bwnefits.
Also never forget history, HCMC was once apon a time a part of KOW.
