How to remove air conditioners?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. How to remove air conditioners?

Post by StroppyChops »

Any frigies in the house?

I want to quietly remove the a/c plants and head units myself but haven't done anything with a/c's before. Can anyone advise on the process, especially on where I'd look for valves to trap the refrigerant gas? any other advice?

I'm concerned that the first night we're away from the place, we'd come back and find the locks changed. I've allowed 10 days after we actually move out to clear our electrical fittings, bog the screw holes in the wall, etc, but I've just scared myself on this point.

Yes, I know I'll lose the refrigerant in the lines - thanks.

After you move out, it might be a good idea to have someone sleep at the house for the next 10 days. Otherwise, the landlord will likely assume that you've gone for good.

If I were you I would have it done by a professional. He, after all, knows exactly what he's doing (presumably).
If you want I can give you a tel. # of an a/c guy.
