How is Low Season in Victory Hill, Sihanoukville?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Funny Carmelita.

Last time i was in Snooky, was a while back, 8-12 years ago, can't remember. What i do remember is that there were definately different classes of people, and that was reflected on where they tended to hang out. Yes, there were a few cool places, even 'hip' bars on the hill, like Papagayo, or Karim's bar. Different class of people.

Near Blue Mountain, there was a French bar. Another collection of hipsters.

But competitions in coolness, or just being themselves. The latter, certainly the latter.

I did feel though that if you wanted to find the 'competative coolness', all you needed to do was head to the busy bars in Serendipidy. Was where they gathered.

Finished a great italian cooked pasta meal for 4$, had a couple stoli vodka red bull for 5.5$ but only because last week prices in this drink hole were raised from 4.5$ for the same thing and I am now comfortably seated in a sofa, looking at the islands and incoming ships in these new appartements I have for rent.
Long Live Victory Hill ! :beer3:

There certainly seems like a lot of bars up for sale or just changing hands around Victory. Could be just the only area not being bulldozed, though

the only thing ive really noticed an increase of is the amount of groups of young Chinese guys peacocking around the square, i get told by the girls that they usually either work at the casinos or one of those "call centres"
I went to an Italian and french party and they had rented a bar for a few nights most of the khmer women Were hi maintenence type who parade new cloths and I phone 6+ around just reminded of western women who try to make them look impossible to get.

Even Thailand they are using tinder to hookup.

Muscles , tattoos, tinder and money are now needed in Third world country's as well as america uk Australia etc etc .

No not money.
When I first arrived back here in 2010, I use to sometimes ride around shouting in a lust filled voice "Gold! Gold! GOLD!".

The Hill has just been tarmacked, but that isn't necessarily a good thing. Where's those damned photos? :stir:
