is it hot enough for ya??

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Some of the comments on this thread demonstrate woeful ignorance and plain stupidity.

Embarrassing.

It's only going to get worse. Data science being a thing means marketing (and therefor propaganda) is just going to get more sophisticated and more subversive. The entities that can afford to pay for the good stuff tend to have interests that are contrary the overwhelming majority of humanity, are better funded, and better organized.

I don't want to say we're doomed, but... you know.

So with the pleasant temps the last month, what happened to the “we’re all gonna die!” crowd?

Not sure what you mean, it's been hot and most days have been hotter than the historical average:

UK weather: England prepares for hottest day of year so far
Temperatures predicted to reach 35C in south with London hotter than Hawaii
Sat 29 Jun 2019
Britain is set to swelter on the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures predicted to soar as high as 35C (95F) in London and southern England.

The capital is expected to be hotter than Hawaii and parts of the Caribbean on Saturday, after temperatures exceeded 30C in Scotland and Wales on Friday.

The Met office said the heat could approach the all-time record for June of 35.6C in 1976 in Southampton. The east Midlands and south east England will experience the biggest jump in temperatures on Saturday, soaring into the mid 30s.

And on the continent, France is recording their hottest temperatures ever.

France records all-time highest temperature of 45.9C
Fri 28 Jun 2019 17.14 BST
France recorded temperatures nearly two degrees higher than its previous record and firefighters continued to battle historic wildfires in Spain as much of western Europe remained in the grip of an extreme early-summer heatwave on Friday.

The French state weather forecaster, Météo-France, said the temperature in Gallargues-le-Montueux in the Gard département hit 45.9C at 4.20pm on Friday.

The previous 2003 record of 44.1C was beaten twice before on Friday: first when the southeastern town of Carpentras reached 44.3C, then hours later when Villevieille, in Provence, hit 45.1C.

“This is historic,” a Météo-France meteorologist, Etienne Kapikian, said. “It’s the first time a temperature in excess of 45C has ever been recorded in France.”

First of all, provide a realistic alternative to expansionist capitalism and then we shall take you seriously.
In the meantime,,,,,,, want a doughnut?
